What better way to carry on the legacy of Arrow than through the Emerald Archer's own children?

Introduced via this season's flash-forwards, the adult version of Oliver's son, William Clayton, found his way back to Star City with his father's former teammate Roy Harper. What they found was a city in ruins with vigilantes outlawed. However, after digging a little deeper, William came across a cage fighter by the name of Blackstar, who eventually revealed that she was the daughter of Oliver and Felicity Smoak and, thus, his own sister.

With so many questions about what happened in between the 20-year gap and the compelling backdrop of a gritty, dilapidated Star City, the flash-forwards started off as one of the most impressive aspects of Arrow's seventh season. Though their allure waned as the season progressed, there is no denying that Star City in 2040 would still make an exceptional concept for a TV show.

Not only would a show permanently set in the future of Star City take viewers to places they had never seen before, it would also allow characters like Roy, Dinah and Rene to remain on our screens, serving as supporting characters to the dual protagonists.

Mia Smoak and adult William kicking ass for 22 episodes surrounded by a bunch of beloved Team Arrow members? Um, yes please!
