6. Oliver's Baby Mama
Who She Is: For a character who has only appeared in The CW’s DC universe twice in what amounted to little more than cameos, the as-yet-unnamed woman unfortunate enough to catch something other than an STD from the bed-hopping pre-island Ollie is hugely important. Becoming pregnant after a tryst with Oliver while he was still with Laurel, the young woman accepted a hefty bribe from Moira to claim a miscarriage and flee to Central City to raise the baby with big dumb Ollie none the wiser.
Why She Cannot Die: She is the mother of Oliver’s child. If she dies, Oliver and his guilt-complex might feel compelled to take care of the child, which…would be awful.
Sure, it would be a sign of growth that Oliver is no longer the Ollie of awful hair and sexuality not dissimilar to the visual acuity of a T-rex, but Arrow is not a show in which the hero can have a kid. Add in the fact that a child could not be killed off without being a huge tragedy, and it’s best that Oliver’s baby mama survive the run of the show.
Preferably off-screen. Oliver does not need kids anytime soon, whether a surprise 7-year old from Central City or a bundle of joy from Felicity.
