Arrow Season 4: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Genesis'

9. Will Fortuna Return?

Green Arrow Oliver Eyes
The CW

So, John Constantine really isn't ever coming back then? I'd held out some slim hope, but this episode pretty much crushed it, as he instead refers Oliver to Esrin Fortuna.

A shaman, and apparently frequent blackjack player, she gives Oliver a quick lesson in how to combat the magic that Darhk possesses, before giving up on him as a lost cause.

We didn't really see enough of Fortuna to pass too much judgement on her as a character, but what little she had to do was fine. Could we see her again, either as Oliver goes back for more training, or as someone to join in the fight against Darhk? (Or, perhaps, Darhk kills her after discovering she helped Oliver?)

If the show is committed to magic playing a big part in things, at least in the final few episodes, then it's good to have someone like Fortuna around, although the fact they created their own character rather than using one of the comics suggests she's probably a one-and-done figure.
