Arrow Season 7: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'The Demon'

1. Hope For Everyone

Arrow Laurel Felicity Dinah
The CW

Two years ago, Felicity and Black Siren couldn't stand each other. However, a common enemy has brought them together. As they both want Diaz dead, it makes sense for the two to form an uneasy alliance - the shocking thing is how well they are working together.

After recruiting Earth-2 Laurel last week, Felicity once again turned to Star City's D.A. to help her solve the mystery behind the dreaded Level Two. Though she initially seemed reluctant to get dragged into something else while focusing on Diaz, Laurel agreed and, together with Dinah, they began researching Slabside, while using their positions of authority to enhance the process.

Eventually, they managed to uncover news that called Dr. Parker's methods into question, while the information that Talia eventually provided them with gave them the chance to shut things down. In doing so, the trio was able to discredit Parker and freed Oliver from Level Two, returning him to his original cell. However, it was Laurel who suggested that they could use this newfound information to appeal Oliver's conviction.

The arc didn't just further Oliver's prison storyline, it was an integral step on Laurel's path to redemption, allowing her to learn the importance of empathy. By the end of the episode, she wasn't the sarcastic force to be reckoned with that she once was, she was actually starting to care about her new allies and, as a result, she may be the key to helping Felicity get Oliver out of Slabside permanently.
