Arrow Season 8 Premiere Review: 10 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Starling City'
2. It Needed More Laurel
Though it was nothing short of wonderful to see Katie Cassidy Rodgers' Laurel Lance assume the Black Canary mantle (a lot more on that later), the episode did feel like it could have done more with her.
After all, Oliver travelled to Earth-2 (which is, of course, her home) and, by the looks of things, she is now its primary hero. Now, given that she knows everything about parallel dimensions and has proven herself an ally, it would have made sense if Oliver worked with her from the beginning... instead of having Diggle convince him to do it for nothing more than plot convenience.
Instead, we're expected to believe that Oliver never finished filling in her just because Adrian Chase interrupted them? Doesn't seem right with the fate of the entire multiverse at risk now, does it?
