Arrow Series Finale: 10 Huge Questions Answered By The Show's Producers

7. Wait, Was That A Powerless Easter Egg?

You remember Powerless, right? Well, no one is going to hold it against you if you don't because NBC's failed attempt at a DC Comics sitcom didn't last particularly long and isn't fondly remembered. Despite that, there still appeared to be a nod to the series in last night's finale in the form of a "Van Wayne Industries" billboard.

"By this point we were through with ‘Crisis’ and I was completely spent," Guggenheim recalls when thinking back to an Easter Egg which could be used in that shot. "So I called up [DC Entertainment VP] Dan Evans, who’s been my partner in crime for so much of this, and I’m like, 'OK, Easter egg for the Arrow finale. What do you think?' And that was his pitch. I was like, 'Great, wonderful, done!'"

This presumably means that Bruce Wayne's cousin now exists on Earth-Prime but we're surely not alone in hoping that this doesn't ultimately lead to a resurrection for Powerless as the show had little in the way of redeeming qualities.
