Arrow Series Finale: 10 Huge Questions Answered By The Show's Producers
8. Will We Ever See Oliver And Felicity Again?
The finale concluded with the Monitor (in 2040) reuniting Felicity in the afterlife with Oliver. They shared a sweet exchange in the same Queen Consolidated office he first met her in and, after a long-overdue kiss, looked ahead to their happily ever after together. Is that truly the end of their respective stories, though?
"The whole point of making him the Spectre was to give us story opportunities, because who knows what’s going to happen in the future?" Guggenheim muses before adding that "no one's ever really gone" thanks to time-travel, flashbacks, and alternate realities. The producer did, however, admit that bringing him back too soon would be a mistake.
"If we brought him back in, like, the seventh season premiere of Flash, it would probably diminish this event," he concludes. There's no denying that and based on recent comments from Amell about his experience shooting Crisis, it definitely sounds like he's ready to move on from playing this character and take on some vastly different roles (of the non-superhero variety).
