Arrowverse: Every Major Easter Egg, Clue & Reference To 'Crisis On Infinite Earths'
1. Psycho Pirate
Another surprisingly significant character from Elseworlds was the mask-wearing prisoner who briefly appeared during the Arkham Asylum breakout, attempting to escape before Batwoman put an end to that. For anyone unaware, this was Roger Hayden a.k.a. Psycho-Pirate.
He may not have had a major role in the crossover, but an appearance from Hayden was more than enough to hint towards Crisis On Infinite Earths. In the comics, the character became an accomplice to the Anti-Monitor and was one of the few people to recall all of the events that went down during the Crisis, but unfortunately for him, these memories drove him mad.
If this sounds familiar to you, it's because Iris West-Allen's 2049 newspaper article actually referenced Psycho Pirate, reading:
Research has focused on Roger Hayden a.k.a. Psycho Pirate, who claims to remember the night's true events. He said upon arrest: "Worlds lived, worlds died. Nothing will ever be the same."
What makes this even more chilling is that those were the exact same words he uttered in the closing moments of Elseworlds, right before the "Crisis On Infinite Earths" title card was revealed.
With Elseworlds in the rear view mirror, one fact is clearer than ever: The long-awaited Crisis is imminent.
