Battlestar Galatica Starbuck Home
Universal

Home is the two-parter that brings the Colonial Fleet back together. Starbuck, Helo and Sharon return to Kobol, joining Roslin's breakaway fleet. After the expected trouble with Sharon joining them, Kara and Helo slot into the landing party to find the Tomb of Athena.

These episodes feature as a fresh wound for her. While she has succeeded in her mission to bring the Arrow of Apollo back to Roslin, she had to leave Anders behind. Lee jokes with her about the Pyramid ball that she brought with her but, in typical Starbuck style, she refuses to elaborate.

On the surface of the planet, she is confronted by Commander Adama - who warmly greets her, forgiving her insubbordination in fleeing with the Cylon Raider. It is the reunion that was badly needed, adding a joy to her soul that hadn't been felt since she left Caprica.

The highlight of the episodes though are the groups arrival at the tomb, placing the Arrow in its cradle and their vision of Earth. While the others attempt to decipher the meaning of their vision, it is Kara who realizes the truth: they are standing on Earth, looking up at the twelve colonies.

It is an enormous moment in the series, confirming the faith that many of the characters have in the gods. For Kara, it is vindication for her return to the fleet. From this point on, they have a new purpose.
