Batwoman Season 1 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘Mine Is A Long And A Sad Tale’

4. Back To The Main Narrative

Given the name of the episode, it was hardly surprising to see that 'Mine Is A long And A Sad Tale' returned to the show's central narrative involving Kate, Beth/Alice and their father Jacob, but it was a pleasant shift.

Batwoman has done well balancing that storyline out with a few standalone offerings in a bid to let Kate grow as a hero, but they have undoubtedly been the show's weakest offerings thus far, so it was wise to return to the core story.

With all that in mind, it also shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that it was one of the (if not the) strongest installments to date.
