9. Social Media Users Are The Real Targets - Hated In The Nation

Hated In The Nation plays with the idea of social media hate figures. When unpopular celebrities are being killed off, the #DeathTo hashtag starts trending with people naming the famous people they most want to die.

It turns out that the celebrities aren't the real target of the killer, but the social media users who are promoting the tag. It's all an exercise in teaching people the dangers of spreading hate on the internet while hiding behind online anonymity. What's more, the plan actually works and nearly 400,000 are killed by the murderous bee-like drones.

Similar to The National Anthem (more on that later), it's another shocking twist with a sociological message. But this one has that extra gut-punch of featuring mass murder on a huge scale.
