Bob's Burgers: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
7. Season 8
Now we start getting to the really good stuff.
The debut episode of season eight - Brunchsquatch - follows a very neat idea. Every single scene is animated differently as they are all based on submissions from the Bob's Burgers fan art contest. Admittedly, the intense showcasing of so many different art styles does distract from the narrative, but Brunchsquatch remains an awesome and unique viewing experience.
And in an odd way, Brunchsquatch pretty much symbolises the very feeling of season eight - each vignette is a completely different experience, all varying in quality and memorability.
For example, episodes such as "The Bleakening” and “V for Valentine-Detta” are in the top tier of the series because they contain genuine excitement and adventure. Meanwhile, the season’s weaker efforts include “Cheer Up Sleepy Gene” and “Boywatch”, because the storytelling is sub-par .
As you can tell, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for decent plot lines, but there’s no real stinker in the bunch, making season eight of Bob’s Burgers a worthwhile viewing.
