Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Season Finale Ranked Worst To Best
5. Greg And Larry (Season Three)
This season finale had its work cut out for it, as the previous episode was a compelling heist-like outing with a killer plot twist right at the end. Naturally, continuing the drama and developments of "The Bureau" would be tough, but this episode lived up to the challenge and delivered an epic ending to season three.
The third season saw a narrative where Holt was in the pocket of notorious gangster Jimmy Figgis. After their contact in the FBI (Bob Annderson) turned out to be the informant they were looking for, the Nine-Nine save Holt's life and capture Annderson, attempting to get their hands on the files needed to bring Figgis down.
There's a lot to love about this episode, as it juggles grand narratives with something simple. The majority of it takes place inside Rosa's apartment - which is a real treat to see - and this keeps it feeling intimate despite the enormous implications.
It's not the funniest episode, but it has some surprisingly gripping action sequences and a final twist that teases victory before throwing Jake and Holt into witness protection, becoming the titular "Greg and Larry".
