Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Most Uplifting Moments
5. The Yellow Crayon Speech - Season 6, Episode 22
Though Xander is the most immature and powerless of the gang, that doesn't mean he hasn't proved to be the most important member of the team on more than one occasion.
Outside of his stand-alone effort "The Zeppo" and his willingness to jump headfirst into a fight to help his friends, Xander's greatest moment comes in the Season Six finale.
By this point, Willow has gone full 'big bad', trapping Buffy and Dawn, beating Giles and Anya, and heading out to destroy the world to end the pain that goes with it. But before she can, her oldest and closest friend Xander wades in and saves the day by giving a touching speech about how much he loves her.
Telling a sweet kindergarten anecdote about a yellow crayon, Xander takes all of Willow's hits and lashes, repeatedly saying how much he loves her until she breaks down in tears, unable to maintain her evil ways and crumbling into his arms.
Who said you need powers to be a hero?
