20 TV Shows That Were Cancelled In 2025

But now we have one of 2025's more unexpected cancellations - the revival of legendary sitcom Frasier.

While the revival was hardly great, the phenomenal popularity of the original series led many to assume that it would be a ratings smash regardless.

However, Frasier struggled to make much headway on Paramount+, possibly due to the streaming service being better known for its dramatic output and having just a handful of comedy originals on its platform.

The absence of Kelsey Grammer's original co-stars David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves surely didn't help the revival's ratings, and though Paramount did renew it for a second season, they then cancelled the show at the start of 2025, two months after season two finished airing.

CBS Studios subsequently announced plans to shop the series around to streamers such as Hulu and Prime Video, but a year later, nobody's taken a bite.

Comedy reboots are a tough nut to crack at the best of times, but when only one member of the O.G. main cast has a major presence, you can't really blame fans for having little enthusiasm.
