Casting Star Trek: Voyager Reboot

11. Icheb - Noah Schnapp

Voyager Icheb Noah Schnapp
Paramount/Netflix

Icheb was originally played by Manu Intirayami, who revealed recently that the character was the polar opposite to how he identified at the time. He was delighted to be allowed to expand the role as he was continually brought back, as there is something very interesting in how a Borg child adapts to life again.

Noah Schnapp is of course best known as Will Byers in Stranger Things. From the first season, he has had to do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the male cast, battling the demigorgon and Mindflayer as he has. He has continually risen to the challenge and continues to impress.

To see him adjusting to life again, guided by our pick for Seven of Nine, would be a fantastic opportunity to again delve into the psychology of being torn from the Collective, through the eyes of a child.

We can only hope that this Icheb has a slightly happier fate.
