Although there's a lot of attention on the movie side of Star Trek at the minute, with Beyond just being released in cinemas (and receiving some pretty strong reviews), Comic-Con was more focused on the upcoming TV revival, which will debut next year on CBS in the US (and on Netflix globally).

Bryan Fuller is the showrunner for the series, and he revealed that David Semel would be directing the pilot, while Trek veteran writer Nicholas Meyer (Treks II, IV, and VI) would be writing and producing on the series.

The bigger reveals, though, were of the show's name - Stark Trek: Discovery - and the ship, which harks back to the classic Star Trek aesthetic, and goes by the name of U.S.S. Discovery.
