The Flash and Arrow both brought trailers to Comic-Con, for Season 3 and 5 respectively, and gave us the best look yet at what we can expect from the upcoming runs of each show. The former was focused on Flashpoint, caused by the events of the Season 2 finale, while Arrow was centred around the fact that almost everyone left Team Arrow at the end of Season 4.

While we got to see plenty of the heroes, there were some intriguing hints at the big bads of each show.

The Flash will have two new villains: a speedster (whose identity they're not revealing yet, but of course they need a villainous speedster), and Doctor Alchemy, as teased in the trailer. Alchemy has been anticipated for some time now, and he's said to be someone who "certainly doesn’t like the Flash," and is "... a bad dude, and he’s going to be a formidable adversary to The Flash and everyone on the team.”

As for Arrow, the overarching villain for Season 5 will be Prometheus, although not the same character from the comics. He's seen in a mask at the end of the trailer, and is said to be part of the theme of legacy that will be running throughout this year, meaning he'll have ties going back to the early days of the show.
