Community: Each Character's Hogwarts House

Despite dressing as Harry Potter for one Halloween, Shirley fits better into Slytherin than Harry's House, Gryffindor.

Though she's soft and sweet on the outside, Shirley has a darker side. She can be manipulative, like with her hilarious line, "I can be passive aggressive sometimes...don't everybody disagree at once." Plus, Shirley is ambitious, coming to Greendale in the first place to start a baked goods business on the internet. As we see once Shirley's Sandwiches takes off, Shirley proves herself a good businesswoman.

The most concrete example of Shirley's Slytherin-ness is the Meow Meow Beans episode. Shortly after the app is launched, Shirley becomes the top 5, using her ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness to climb her way to the top.

As Troy says, Shirley is both the mom and the badass of the study group - a perfect fit for Slytherin.
