Community: The 10 Most Hated Episodes

Community has never been the type of show to be satisfied with churning out a standard sitcom plot, which makes it all the more disappointing when it does very occasionally stoop to those sorts of lows. The only real misfire from seasons one to three would probably be fine on another run-of-the-mill comedy show, but on Community? It feels like an insult.

The main plot of this episode follows Jeff and Pierce as they both vie for the affections of a new girl in one of their classes. She hits it off with Pierce and Jeff becomes convinced that she is up to something. Meanwhile, Troy and Britta attend an acting class where Troy lies about being molested by his uncle to garner sympathy and struggles to maintain the deception. There’s also a minor plot with Abed getting into a fight over the classic sitcom Who’s The Boss and do you see how middle of the road this all sounds?

The only reason this episode doesn’t attract even more vitriol is because of everything post season three but it’s still worthy of being looked down upon. Far from the study group’s finest hour here.
