4. The Performances

All of that emotion that overcame us throughout the final two hours of Crisis simply wouldn't have been possible without the magnitude of the performances that unfolded before our eyes. Yes, the Arrowverse cast pulled out all the stops to hit us with every emotional power-packed punch they could muster, and they succeeded every time.

Grant Gustin, Caity Lotz and Melissa Benoist were particularly outstanding throughout those last two installments, while David Ramsey had us all reaching for the tissues in the concluding part. The star performer, however, was undoubtedly Stephen Amell - who upped the broodiness for The Spectre before hitting us all where it hurts with Oliver's emotional, fragile farewell scene. If you cried at all throughout Crisis, rest assured it was Amell who made you do it.

The cast of the Arrowverse shows always bring their best, but when the Crisis struck, they upped the ante and excelled like never before. And that carried the crossover even more than the equally impressive writing, enriching it with a power that simply can't be described. They were nothing short of superb.
