Daredevil Season 2: 10 Actors Who Could Play Bullseye
6. Anthony Pettis
The physicality is there with Jaa and Uwais, but the language barrier might be a problem. Both speak the language passably (and a lot better than most English-speakers can manage Thai or Indonesian), but as big a part of Bullseye's torture of Daredevil comes in the trash-talking. Guy has to be able to throw verbal as well as actual blows. Mixed martial arts has been quickly catching up with traditional wrestling in terms of popularity, with almost as many tuning in to see muscle-bound men actually fight each other as pretend to. Ex-WWE stars like Brock Lesnar defecting to the UFC has brought some of wrestling's foibles to the sport, too. In which case, former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis fulfils both aspects of Bullseye crucial to getting the character right: trash talking, and not being a guy you'd want to meet down a dark alley at night (without being a huge 'roided-out Hulk, either). Pettis has no acting experience to speak of, besides recording some theatrical UFC promos.
