4. Nadeem's Luck Runs Out (Episode 12, "One Last Shot")

FBI agent Ray Nadeem (Jay Ali) started the season seeming like any old generic stuffed shirt cop character, but by the end of it, he was revealed to be surprisingly complex and anguished.

After having secured the safety of his family and prepared a final video testament for use as evidence against Fisk, Nadeem is cornered by Dex at his home.

After a brief exchange, Nadeem pulls his weapon and Dex shoots him in the head, killing him instantly. It's a depressing fate for a good-hearted family man who made some undeniable mistakes once Fisk exerted some pressure upon him.

To make matters even more heartbreaking, he's framed for another cop's murder, his Grand Jury testimony ends up sealed and he's slandered in the news media as mentally unstable. A grim fate indeed.
