DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Season 1: 15 WTF Moments From 'Pilot, Part 1'

12. The Man In Black

Whilst the early moments of Rip Hunter in front of the Time Masters Council was ever-so reminiscent of Rufus in Bill & Ted€™s Excellent Adventure, it didn€™t take long for DC€™s Legends of Tomorrow to also evoke memories of Men in Black. When Hunter first turns up to meet his €˜Legends€™ in their natural habitats, he uses a flashing light-type weapon to incapacitate them, which felt just a little like the famous memory-wiping devices in the Men in Black films. At least for the Legends involved, Hunter€™s weapon only renders them unconscious as oppose to erasing their memories. Still, none of this would€™ve needed to happen if Vandal Savage lived by the age-old Bill & Ted adage of be excellent to each other.
