Doctor Who: 10 Biggest Problems With The Matt Smith Era

5. River€™s Pardon

We are told that River was pardoned because it turned out the man she killed never existed, a direct result of him deleting himself from history. Except that The Silence would have known that the Doctor was still going to Trenzalore since at that moment he was currently fighting on Trenzalore. Now before you say €œbut Marty, you€™re not thinking 4th dimensionally€ we have to examine the whole history of the Silence and consider the little threads that were left. If she was released because she had served her time or because it was found that she was brainwashed into it then fine but the idea of the Doctor being dead yet still headed for Tranzalore makes no sense.
