2. It's Not A Split Series
Hallelujah and praise the household gods: Doctor Who is return to a full series in 2014, rather than a few episodes here and there. Sure, it worked well for the River reveal, but we all want more Doctor Who, don't we? Moffat's confirmed it at a BFI screening. The only thing we're not sure on is how many episodes we're getting. There was talk a while back about only twelve making up Capaldi's first series, but is that counting the Christmas episode? There are those that thought 'The Snowmen' worked well mid-series. Perhaps it'll be thirteen after all. Although given budget cutbacks and time constraints, wouldn't we rather have twelve, but of a higher quality? The important thing is that it's a sizeable chunk of Doctor Who, for the first time since Series 5. Hopefully the anniversary will have generated more revenue and we can look forward to more money being given to Doctor Who!
