Doctor Who: 10 Great Actors Who Need To Play Villains

10. Patrick Stewart (Voice)

Patrick Stewart seems to be an obvious choice if one were ever to need an iconic voice. With the Great Intelligence being the main villain during season eight €“ a villain that we only ever heard €“ it seems plausible that we would have a villain once again that would need a great booming voice. Patrick Stewart€™s voice is one of the most recognizable voices in Britain, and would therefore make an incredibly good villain. Besides his voice alone €“ which is rather a weak leg to stand on €“ we can also add the fact that his presence on Doctor Who would gather many new viewers to the show, especially if he played a villain that had a multiple story arc, such as the Silence or the Great Intelligence. With his Royal Shakespeare Company credits and status as the on-screen Jean-Luc Picard and (modern-day) Professor X, the casting of Patrick Stewart would make many multi-fandom nerds happy as well as long-time fans. With such a presence in Britain and around the world, it€™s somewhat surprising that Patrick Stewart€™s agent hasn€™t been rung up and asked if he would be in an episode. The casting agents certainly have the ability to get actors of his status, with his long time friend Ian McKellen voicing the Great Intelligence, and Derek Jacobi being the Master before he regenerated. Maybe they€™re planning something? Maybe Patrick Stewart€™s not interested? Who knows. But if they need an someone who is absolutely iconic to everyone throughout the world, Patrick Stewart is who they should cast.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
