Doctor Who: 10 Great Actors Who Need To Play Villains

4. Hadley Fraser (On Screen)

If you could give me an episode to write, I would put Karimloo and Hadley Fraser in the same episode as co-conspirators. They€™ve been friends for years, since Karimloo understudied Fraser for Marius in 2003. But that€™s not the only reason why I€™m putting these two on a list. Hadley Fraser may look familiar to you, playing the first person at Torchwood €“ that we know of €“ to turn into a Cyberman in Doomsday. I€™m a huge fan of recasting people who played small parts in other episodes, and even more when they€™re fans of Doctor Who. While Fraser has mostly done theatre that unfortunately hasn€™t garnered the same following as Karimloo, he€™s done so this past winter. He currently stars as Aufidius in Coriolanus, opposite Tom Hiddleston. That guy that you saw lip lock with Hiddleston? Yeah, that€™s him. Of course, his character is so much more than just someone who gets to kiss Hiddleston. He plays a complicated character in a complicated tragedy, and I would never diminish that. I€™m told that he plays the character wonderfully and his talent is displayed phenomenally in Coriolanus. If Shakespeare isn€™t your thing, it€™s possible he€™s crossed your radar in the Phantom where he played Raoul, and the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concerts, where he played Grantaire. Before Coriolanus I would never have pegged Fraser as the ability to play a villain, and instead wanted him to play the Doctor, but I€™ve been assured that he can handle it and do fantastically. With his previous time with Doctor Who, the fact that he€™s a fan, and that he€™s coming onto the scene as an actor to look out for, I would love to see him in Doctor Who without him getting turned into a Cyberman.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
