8. The Pig Slaves - Daleks In Manhattan/Evolution Of The Daleks (2007)

The Daleks have had a lot of allies and servants over the past fifty years but none of them even come close to being as ridiculous as the Pig Slaves, the Cult Of Skaro's minions of choice while hiding in 1930s New York. Well, maybe the Slyther but that was forty-nine years ago. While we've seen a lot of monsters and aliens in Doctor Who that are based on real creatures such as the rhino-like Judoon and alien wasp the Vespiform, the Pig Slaves just don't have any real credibility. The prosthetics are good but there is no reason for the Daleks to transform humans who they deem to have low intelligence into bipedal pigs that are practically feral and have no brainpower whatsoever. Even if you just need somebody to do the grunt work, a mind controlled human makes a lot more sense than going through the time and research needed to change their species and make them stupider. The Pig Slaves were an incredibly ill-conceived idea that wasn't helped by the costume designers giving them all matching uniforms. Even good prosthetics couldn't help to salvage such a stupid monster.
