Doctor Who: 10 Mind-Blowing Uses Of Foreshadowing You Never Noticed

5. The Doctor Teases The Silence Story

We were promised that the Silence would be the scariest Who villain since the Weeping Angels. Those of us that stayed away from spoilers wondered what could possibly be scarier than those evil statues, but the Doctor actually told us in the early moments of 'The Impossible Astronaut'. "A lot more happened in '69 than anyone ever remembers," he said. He wasn't joking: the Silence would end up wiping his memory quite a few times during his trip to 1969. Thought the question does remain: why exactly does the Doctor remember so much more about the Silence than everyone else does?
