9. Will The Doctor Unlock The Time War?
It's time-locked. One man survived (and lots of Daleks, but we don't count them. Do we?). Surely if the Doctor time-locked it, he's going to need to unlock it to retrieve the John Hurt Doctor? This is of course assuming that Hurt's Doctor fought in the Time War. He did something terrible in the name of peace and sanity, and though it's not a secret that he ended the war, it's expected that this Doctor came between Eight and Nine. This could be the new direction: the Time Lords and the Daleks could both hunt the TARDIS down. Or it could just be a snapshot into some of the images that we've heard so much about: what was the "Nightmare Child"? And what was the "moment" that the Doctor possessed? The Comic Con trailer reportedly features John Hurt facing armies of Daleks: that's a scene from the Time War, surely? We could easily be wrong: this is Moffat after all...
