2. Christopher Eccleston Returns
Highly unlikely, but boy wouldn't this be the surprise of all surprises? Since departing in 2005, fandom has been abuzz with speculation as to why the popular 9th Doctor only served for one year and why he continues to refuse to return to what has become arguably his most successful role. Over the years he has described his experience with Doctor Who as: "Mixed, but that's a long story," and not having enjoyed, "...the environment and the culture that the cast and crew had to work in." More recently, Christopher Eccleston has had more positive things to say about Doctor Who even making a tongue in cheek pledge to return for the 100th Anniversary of the show with his, "...sonic and a stair lift." Could he be signaling that the most eagerly anticipated appearance other than Paul McGann's could be at hand? Imagine the 10th, 11th and Hurt Doctors bursting into Eccleston's Tardis and in a scene reminiscent of Wolverine's appearance in X-Men: First Class old 9th tells them (in TV friendly language) to F*** off? Swearing aside, Whovians would love it, and probably break the internet professing their love for it.
