7. More Real People From History
I always love the episodes where they travel through time, meet fascinating people, who really lived, and have the chance to interfere with true historical events Pompeii on the eve of annihilation, Shakespeare writing the lost play Love's Labor's Won, Agatha Christie and her lost days, Queen Victoria in the Highlands with a werewolf, Charles Dickens and the ghosts, Vincent Van Gogh and his madness. These episodes are some of my favorites they give us such compelling stories with interesting explanations for some of history's great mysteries. Give me more falling back in time and meddling with real events. Take them back to Imperialist Russia with the Romanovs in power, Rasputin manipulating the Empress Alexandra and the Revolution is kicking off. The Doctor could save Olga and bring her to safety. Go to Macchu Picchu, high in the Andes, that Incan engineering masterpiece and let the Doctor solve the mysteries of how the city was built, why it was abandoned, still intact, and never found by the Spanish conquistadors. As the show well knows, history is rife with dramatic material, so I'd love them to delve back into it.
