Doctor Who: 11 Episodes To Watch Before The Regeneration Tomorrow

8. The Doctor€™s Wife

Of course in an episode marathon about the Doctor you have to include the episode about the TARDIS. Wonderfully written €“ well enough to make anyone cry at the end €“ this episode is a must see for anyone who loves Doctor Who, but especially if they€™re looking for something that so spectacularly shows off Matt€™s acting. After decades of talking to the TARDIS, the Doctor finally gets a chance to talk to her face to face. This episode is by far, in my opinion, the most emotional episode in the three seasons Matt has been the Doctor, especially since so much was no doubt riding on this episode. This is something that people had no doubt been wanting to see since Doctor Who started €“ the Doctor€™s ability to talk to the box he stole and flew away in to see the universe. It€™s intimidating for anyone, but Matt did an amazing job at encompassing the feelings of decades of Doctors €“ despite not watching Old Who €“ and how important the TARDIS is to the Doctor. What€™s so amazing about this episode isn€™t just that this was an episode long time coming, it€™s how great the episode was delivered, and how well Matt and Suranne Jones bounced back on each other so that it seemed easy for Matt to encompass the feeling of almost fifty years of travelling with the TARDIS.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
