Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Eleven's Regeneration Will Be Incredibly Heartbreaking

The Fall of the Eleventh is coming soon, and it's going to be pretty damn sad. Let's hope Matt Smith's armed with a good speech.

With the regeneration nearing, it€™s getting harder for Whovians to count down the days to Christmas Day. As excited as we all are for Peter Capaldi to take the rings and what we€™ve heard will come with the new Doctor, it€™s difficult to say goodbye to this Doctor €“ especially for those who started with the Eleventh. With Steven Moffat writing the episode, and with what we know about the Doctor Who regeneration episode on December 25th, this is sure to be a hard episode for us all. On his own, Moffat has written heartbreaking episodes of Doctor Who €“ and let€™s not get into Sherlock €“ so let€™s not lie, we all know he€™ll get some pleasure about writing something that will destroy the Who fandom until we get to know Twelve. So with only single digit days until the regeneration and a brand new era of the Doctor beginning and saying goodbye to Matt€™s era, what are some things we can expect in this episode that€™s sure to make it tear-inducing? David Tennant€™s regeneration will be a hard one to beat, but I think with Moffat and the fact that things are different for Eleven than Ten, we may have an even more heartbreaking episode.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
