Doctor Who: 5 Things Ben Wheatley Could Bring To Series 8

2. Teaming Up With Writers

20100412 Neil Gaiman2 33 Okay, bear with me on this. I know that Gatiss isn€™t an especially loved writer of Doctor Who, but for me, I always love his episodes because they almost always take place in a specific period era. That€™s what Doctor Who was built on €“ getting children to learn about history €“ and I love that Gatiss goes back to that. Okay, he fell short a bit with Cold War and the Crimson Horror, but that doesn€™t mean he can€™t come back with Wheatley €“ as they are friends €“ and knock it out of the park in Season 8? The only other person I want Ben Wheatley to do an episode with €“ just to scare the pants off us all €“ is Neil Gaiman. Now, don€™t get me wrong, that episode would be scary as all hell, but it would be wonderfully, amazingly, scary, an incredibly well written and well shot episode of Doctor Who. I can't even imagine what nightmare inducing monsters Gaiman would dream up and Wheatley would help make come to life. Just the thought of it has me slightly scared, and incredibly intrigued at the same time. And of course, there is also Moffat, who will no doubt be writing the series premiere episode, and who has been known to make some terrifying contributions to Doctor Who as well. With Moffat and Wheatley teamed up, really anyone teamed up with who has worked on Who so far, would make a fantastic pairing. Gatiss and Gaiman are just my personal picks.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
