Christopher Eccleston had "I like bananas, bananas are good", and that was fine, because that's more or less the closest he ever got to a regular catchphrase. David Tennant started out with "allons-y" and that was vaguely okay, until he graduated into saying "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" at even the slightest provocation. But then you get to Smith, who was burdened with at least one of the following in seemingly every episode: Fezzes are cool Bow ties are cool Come along, Pond Geronimo Okay so maybe I'm overreacting a little, because an awful lot of the actors playing the Doctor have had a catchphrase of sorts, but with Smith, they seemed to be just forced into any situation, whether they belonged there or not. It'd simply be nice to have the Doctor go about his business without feeling the need to say something which can be used as an endless internet meme, or one that can easily be put on a t-shirt, but that may be wishing for too much. Mind you, in place of a catchphrase, we could go back to the aforementioned Malcolm Tucker rant...
