Doctor Who: 5 Unexpected Things In The Time Of The Doctor

2. The Silence: Wait€What?

It was incredibly shocking to discover that The Silence were on the Doctor€™s side this entire time, and they weren€™t in fact evil. Madame Kovarian seemed be a rogue part of the organization, but they still had knowledge of River and what became of the Silence. So no matter what, Kovarian helped, in the overall scheme of things. The villain helped? Only in Doctor Who. Again, this was something else that kind of came out of left field, since there was never any hints. Was this Moffat being an extraordinary planner or purely reactionary writing? I guess that€™s for Who fans to decide. No matter what the reason The Silence had for existing, all that matters was at the end, they were helping the Doctor destroy the Daleks, Cybermen, and everyone else there to kill the Doctor. Since the Silence were Eleven€™s villain, it€™s not surprising that Moffat would want to wrap it up. It is interesting idea that each Doctor has their own villain and main story and the villain is wrapped up with the Doctor so they don€™t go into future regenerations. For instance, not having the Daleks pop up every time a new Doctor does. I don€™t know if Moffat can keep that up, but it€™s a good idea nonetheless. Personally, I like the idea of confessing and immediately forgetting.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
