After the rumours that Series 8 will feature Clara's backstory more prominently, what better way to start 2014 than with a snapshot of her life? As proved with Sherlock earlier on this year, there doesn't have to be mystery to create an engrossing piece of television; a short minisode catching up with what the Doctor's companion gets up to when she's at home, is something that would resonate with everyone waiting for Series 8 too. It's a low-budget, potentially funny idea, and would only need Clara; similarly to 'Clara and the TARDIS'. But how did she go from watching Matt Smith regenerate to being at home waiting for Peter Capaldi? Sure, Moffat doesn't like connecting all the dots, but would he miss out something as important as a post-regeneration scene? Possibly not, but it would stay constant with Clara; she's only actually travelled with the Doctor when the audience have seen it: the rest of the time, she waits at home. Likelihood: 5/10
