Doctor Who: 8 Things We Might See In Series 8

4. €œOne Day I Will Come Back, Yes, I Will Come Back.€ €“ The Doctor (Hartnell)

What ever happened to young Susan Foreman? The Doctor€™s Granddaughter was the first companion who travelled at the Doctor€™s side, but ever since €˜The Dalek Invasion of Earth€™ Susan has been left behind to live a normal life with her freedom fighter love interest, David Campbell. Modern incarnations of the Doctor have often spoken of being alone in the Universe without family or love ones. So I ask the question again, what ever happened to Susan Foreman? Let€™s not forget the iconic line voiced by Hartnell€™s Doctor to his granddaughter, foretelling his eventual return. Its still entirely possible that Susan is out there and living a (sort of)) normal life. I think everyone would agree that Smith€™s Doctor would not have suited playing a grandfatherly role, but Capaldi could probably pull it off. If series 8 harks back to Doctor Who€™s roots, we might be seeing Susan again soon.

My life is an odd blend of the real and surreal. By day I study law but by night I live my life vicariously through science fiction and fantasy, as a Whovian, gamer and writer.
