Doctor Who Christmas Special: 5 Things The Title Could Mean
3. The Last Christmas... Ever!?
Ah, there's nothing better on Christmas Day than settling down in front of the TV to enjoy a bit of apocalyptic drama, which, let's face it, is exactly what the title could be alluding to. Steven Moffat has been pretty bold in his decisions as Doctor Who showrunner thus far (certain sectors of the fandom will ever get over THAT Missy twist), but is he about to wipe out Christmas - and ultimately the world as we know it - all together? Nah. But it's nice to speculate, isn't it? Of course, it wouldn't be the first time Planet Earth's season of goodwill has been interrupted by a sense of impending doom, which has pretty much been the norm for the past decade. Who could forget the Doctor's first festive escape back in 2005, when the human race faced The Christmas Invasion at the hands of the evil Sycorax? And then there was that CyberKing in Victorian London... The less said about that one, the better.
