4. Danny Joins Clara And The Doctor On The TARDIS

Having a trio on he TARDIS can be a lot of fun, from Jamie, Zoe and the Second Doctor to Rose, Jack and the Ninth Doctor. There's a magical dynamic in having more than one companion and of course audiences have recently had that with the mighty trio that was Amy, Rory and the Eleventh Doctor. While the show's current run is following a more classic format started by Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker's Doctors, now might be the time to shake things up a bit. Clara is going to have to make a decision about her life sooner or later. As The Caretaker proved, there is only so long she can keep this up, particularly now that she started ignoring Danny's calls in Flatline. If current hostilities can be resolved between the Doctor and Danny, there might be a chance that he could join Clara on the TARDIS for more adventures. The trailer for next week shows Danny getting involved in the action to some extent. If he then hopped on board, there would certainly be the opportunity for explosions between the two men in her life. If the rumours are false and Jenna Coleman isn't leaving soon, then maybe next year we'll see Samuel Anderson in the title sequence for series nine.
