15. Your Doctor has a bit of an accent5/5: Nine4/5: Seven3/5: Eight2/5: Ten1/5: Eleven Eccleston used those dulcet Mancunian tones because he didn't want kids thinking that all the clever people spoke in BBC English. The show explained this by saying "Lots of planets have a north!" But Eccleston's not the only one to drop an accent; Eight had a pinch of Paul McGann's Liverpudlian roots, and Sylvester McCoy rolled Seven's Rs in his native Scottish. David Tennant turned back to Scottish for 'Tooth and Claw', but it's the cockney twang he'll be remembered for, and Eleven has, bless his heart, tried to do a Northern accent at times. What length would you go to? Do you have an accent you'd use, or would you only drop it in every now and then, or for certain words?
