Doctor Who: 10 Amazing TV Show Crossovers Fans Want To See

This, of course, is the meeting of the minds that so many clamour to see. It is often the case that a fan of one is a fan of both of these huge British shows and the idea of these two huge characters in one room is enough to send fans into overly excited, childlike squeals. It is well documented that these two intellectual juggernauts have come face to face in numerous fan-fictions and in one case, the excellently made "Wholock" which can be found on Youtube. An actual on screen meeting between these two popular lead characters would be truly epic.

Much like House earlier, it would be interesting to see how the ever logical Sherlock Holmes would cope with the illogical world that is Doctor Who. The Doctor is obviously a man of logic but his mind has been much expanded by all of the things he’s seen and done. Sherlock is more likely to spend his time trying to work out just how this “Doctor” manages to perform these tricks - likely dismissing the interior of the TARDIS as a trick with mirrors.

Still, their interaction would be priceless, and let’s not forget that neither one are overly fond of anyone who isn’t their companion. They can be surprised, and sometimes even impressed, but the idea of meeting someone who could well be the cerebral equivalent is something that neither man would likely accept easily.

Nonetheless, Wholock is an actual thing, and every now and again the idea of a cross-over rears its head. Unlike most of the entries on this list, this - along with Torchwood - is probably the most likely to happen. That is not to say that it's likely, but it’s possible with even the Grand Moff stating publicly that he would do it, if it weren't for those who were against it. Unfortunately, like all of the entries on this list, the path to this particular meeting seems to be fraught with complications. But for now, at the very least, fans can continue to dream of this epic meeting of the minds.
