Doctor Who: 10 Best Companion Outfits

6. Zoe and Jamie in The Mind Robber

jamieandzoeDoc2 I thought it would only be fair to group these two together. The Mind Robber is when Zoe changes into the famous sparkly catsuit, and the Doctor messes up on Jamie's face, causing someone else to play Jamie while Frazer recovered from an illness. Nevertheless we do get to see our Jamie back in his highland kilt and shirt with jacket. To be honest, he was probably the best dressed male companion on the TARDIS. Maybe not the most practical way of traveling around in the TARDIS, where he climbed up ladders, ropes etc; but most occasions it was more than suitable. Having been to conventions for many years, I can honestly say I have started to see more Jamie and Zoe cosplayers or costumers, depending on the way the person prefers to be defined. It's always nice to see other fans dressing up as two of the most iconic companions of the Second Doctor's era. There are always more of the catsuit outfits made than any of the other outfits Zoe wore. So this particular costume has definitely made some major impact in the world of Who. It shows curves, it looks stunning on Wendy Padbury, and it does give off the feeling she isn't from Earth past or present, but of the future. I think that was the general idea with costumes and companions. They wanted to give off that futuristic Earth flair with Zoe, and with Jamie, historic Scotland from the 1800s.

I am a sales associate by day, and 3D artist and writer at night. I have a passion for Doctor Who, especially the Fifth Doctor era. I go to conventions when I have the funds, and I also make costumes on my spare time.
