Doctor Who: 10 Best Companion Outfits

3. Tegan In Frontios And Resurrection Of The Daleks

tegan1984 After the Awakening, Frontios aired, and we saw Tegan in another outfit. Out of all the companions to be on the TARDIS, Tegan had to be one of the few that actually had quite a selection of outfits. This outfit was probably the most stylish, a tight short leather skirt and a cool short sleeved patterned top of red, black and white. This is one of the outfits Janet was able to choose herself, and it's a really nice outfit in contrast to her stewardess uniform or the tube top that had continuous malfunctions. Tegan was probably the last female companion of the early 80's to have a good sense of style to her outfits. While the stewardess uniform was actually supposed to be a uniform, her white corset top with shorts was a hit among fans, although not with Janet herself, with very good reason. Starting with the King's Demons, Tegan started to wear long tops with short skirts. While very fashionable, you could practically see Janet shivering in The Five Doctors. Some of the filming was done in the cold months, such as Black Orchid, when she was in the flower dress. She has mentioned she and the other cast members were freezing the day they filmed the outside scenes. As for the Frontios and Resurrection of the Daleks outfit, I have made the costume myself for convention purposes, and it's always been the most recognizable of the Tegan outfits, besides the stewardess uniform. I think it was also one of the more popular outfits she wore as well. Her previous outfit was just splashed with different bright colors, while this one is just a little more subtle.

I am a sales associate by day, and 3D artist and writer at night. I have a passion for Doctor Who, especially the Fifth Doctor era. I go to conventions when I have the funds, and I also make costumes on my spare time.
