Doctor Who: 10 Best Dalek Stories

7. Resurrection Of The Daleks

The Daleks
BBC Studios

After Davros had been introduced in 1975 and frozen in 1979, it was finally Peter Davison's turn to go up against the Daleks. Having hijacked a prison ship holding the cryogenically frozen Davros, the Daleks set to revive their creator as they are in need of saving from the Movellan virus, created by their foes in the previous Dalek story. After The Doctor had thwarted Davros twice (as Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor), the Fifth Doctor was about finished with seeing his arch-nemesis.

With The Doctor brandishing a weapon and introducing himself as Davros' executioner, the darkness within the Doctor we usually see when up against the Daleks surfaced in a big way this time. This story also began the three-Doctor arc of Davros assembling his own legion of Daleks, something we will explore later on in this list. Not to mention the visuals of Daleks and Davros succumbing to the Movellan virus led to some truly grotesque viewing.

Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
