The 11th era has many episodes that are perfect for getting new fans into the franchise, which is probably why this was the era that got the biggest western fandom Doctor Who had ever seen. More than any other era, this was the most newbie friendly, with episodes not requiring much in the way of deep lore knowledge the same way that the Davies run called for in order to get the full experience. And The Bells Of Saint John is a perfect example of this.

The Doctor, having been called back to adventuring by the mystery of the impossible girl, Clara Oswald, finds her modern day reincarnation being set upon by a shadowy organization sucking people's minds up into the WiFi.

It's a fun as hell episode, a great introduction to one of the franchise's best companions, as well as containing enough plot details to get anyone watching for the first time hooked to find out what's going on behind the scenes. There are a lot of 11th Doctor era episodes on this list here on out, but if you start here, you're starting well.
