Doctor Who: 10 Best Episodes Of The Decade
5. The End Of Time Part 2 (2010)
Broadcast on January 1st 2010, ‘The End of Time Part 2’ is only just eligible as a contender for one of the best episodes of the decade.
David Tennant’s final run as the Doctor sees our hero face off against the Master (played by John Simm) and a group of rogue Time Lords led by Rassilon (played by Timothy Dalton). As such, the Tenth Doctor’s last adventure has plenty of epic drama.
Though said moments are undoubtedly entertaining, the best moments of this episode are the quieter, more sombre scenes. The dialogue between the Doctor and Wilfred Mott (played by the legendary Bernard Cribbins) is especially good.
The last twenty minutes are also outstanding. Watching the Doctor say goodbye to all his companions is incredibly sad, and it’s hard not to well up as Tennant delivers his final lines.
‘The End of Time Part 2’ may not be the best Tenth Doctor episode, but it’s still a terrific finale for one of the most beloved incarnations of the famous Time Lord.
