Doctor Who: 10 Billie Piper Songs That Are Basically About Rose
6. Walk Of Life
Rose Tyler hated the world she lived in before she met the Doctor, apparently. In fact, a little birdie tells us that nothing even happened for the first 19 years of her life which would've been a much more difficult concept to grasp if she hadn't been constantly reminding us of the fact. As such, this song - Walk of Life - shall hereby by known as Rose Tyler's anthem. Billie even spends the duration of its music video sitting on a bus and if that isn't a sign of fate then what is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkRf7gDVT54 What Rose didn't seem to realise, however, was that her walk of life was the same as everybody else's on the planet. This is another example of her aforementioned 'because we want to' mantra. Nobody enjoys the mundanity of public transport or the repetitiveness of the 9 to 5 but, as Mickey wisely pointed out to her in The Parting of the Ways, it's what everyone else has to do whilst the lucky ones are being handpicked to go swanning around the universe with a 900 year old Time Lord. Life on Earth just wasn't good enough for Rose, though, as she pointed out - constantly, let's not forget - that she had grown tired of a life that revolved around alarm clocks, work and eating chips. She did eat a lot of chips to be fair, so that last one makes sense.
